Description
This was one of Rørbye's most popular themes, and he repeated it a least two times. No. 1 - from 1846 - has similar dimensions to this, but different details. In 1848, Rørbye made one more, slightly larger version. Those two were mentioned in the list of Rørbye's paintings published by Thorvaldsen's Museum, but the present one was not.
