Die Schöneberger Männer- und Cruisingbar findest du schon bald in der Motzstraße 30. Am 19. Oktober wird der anstehende Umzug aber noch in der alten Location in der Martin-Luther-Straße 19 mit viel Prominenz – angekündigt sind unter anderem DJ Menace und Fixie Fate – und Spaß ab 22 Uhr ausgiebig gefeiert.

In den neuen (circa ein Viertel so großen) Räumlichkeiten soll einiges anders werden.

Seit September läuft in Schöneberg ein Experiment: Man nehme eine klassische schwule Lederbar mit Darkroom und Porno-Screens und verwandle sie in einen angesagten queeren Club mit Platz für Kinks, Kunst und Musik. Versuchslabor ist das Mutschmann‘s im Schöneberger Regenbogenkiez. Vor zwei Jahren musste der Laden in die ehemalige Reizbar umziehen und kurz danach die Corona-Lockdowns überstehen. Anfang 2022 hat Inhaber André zusätzlich zu seiner bewährten Bar-Crew ein Kreativ-Team engagiert. Dessen Aufgabe: den Laden so zu bespielen, dass er nicht nur in der Folsom-Woche überquillt.[3]

Designinglife.biz beschreibt die neue Location als "hübsch", und als ein Bruch mit der sonst schmuddelig, dunkel, und erdigen Atmosphäre Berliner Schwulenkneipen,

The former address of the Mutschmann's gay bar, Martin-Luther-Strasse 19, Berlin-Schoeneberg. Until October 19, 2019 the bar Mutschmann's, "a meeting place for lovers of leather, rubber, uniforms and sports goods in the heart of Berlin Schöneberg,"[5] was located here.

MUTSCHMANN'S celebrates its location closing party on Saturday. But it's not the end.

You will soon find the Schöneberg men's and cruising bar at Motzstraße 30. On October 19, however, the bash to celebrate the upcoming move will still be in the old location at Martin-Luther-Straße 19 with lots of celebrities - DJ Menace and Fixie Fate, among others, have been announced - and fun starting at 10 p.m.

The new location is about a quarter the size of the old one, and other changes can be expected as well.

An experiment has been running in Schöneberg since September: Take a classic gay leather bar with a dark room and porn screens and transform it into a trendy queer club with space for kinks, art and music. The Mutschmann's in the rainbow district of Schöneberg is the experimental laboratory. Two years ago, the shop had to move to the former Irritable and shortly thereafter survive the corona lockdowns. At the beginning of 2022, owner André hired a creative team in addition to his proven bar crew. His task: to fill the store in such a way that it doesn't just overflow during Folsom week.[7]
