Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Marsyas observes the continuation of his story from the top of a rock: below Minerva, while playing the double flute, is reflected in the circular mirror held by a nymph emerging from the water. Just above the nymph there is Marsyas who runs away with the double flute that the goddess had thrown away. Even further on we see the satyr from behind who, playing the double flute, approaches the procession of Muses led by Apollo whom he will shortly challenge in a musical competition.
