Description
English: Portuguese Marinha (Navy) Lt. Estela Parreira (left), head of the English Language Department at the School of Naval Technologies in Lisbon, presents “The World of Maritime Piracy: The Last Two Decades” to Marcia Hampton, library director of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies’ Research Library, July 20 at the Marshall Center in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Also pictured is Steven Monaco, professor of Counter Illicit Trafficking and program director of the Countering Narcotics and Illicit Trafficking resident program. Parreira, who was one of three translators who converted the book from Portuguese to English, was presenting the book on behalf of the author – Portuguese Marinha Cmdr.
