[edit]DescriptionMarseille - Stade Vélodrome (16232049040).jpg |
Saint-Giniez | Boulevard Michelet Stade Vélodrome is a stadium built by Henri Ploquin; this is the main Marseille sports equipment and the second stage of France. The Velodrome, since its inauguration in 1937, has hosted the football club Olympique de Marseille. Initially 35 000 seats, the stadium had several extensions during the 20th century. The Velodrome again changed configuration for the 2016 UEFA Euro Cup, with coverage of the stadium and an increased capacity of 7,000 seats made by Bouygues Construction-Arema. The new stadium has been inaugurated on October 16, 2014. |
