English: Market Overton: former ironstone quarry The line of trees marks the narrow entrance - now flooded - to Market Overton No 6 Quarry, a very large and deep pit quarried from 1956-72. The parts of the quarry to the north of these trees have been filled in and restored to agriculture. The photograph was taken from the edge of the industrial estate, which was once the site of the Market Overton quarry railway's engine shed and workshops.
