| Description |
English: Market Harborough railway station, Leicestershire Opened in 1885 jointly by the Midland Railway on its line from Bedford to Leicester, and the London & North Western Railway on its line from Stamford to Rugby. It replaced separate earlier stations dating back to 1850. View north towards East Langton and Leicester, on the Midland line. The platforms had just been straightened to ease the former curve (see SP7487 : Market Harborough railway station, Leicestershire, 2008 for a 2008 view in the opposite direction). The London & North Western Railway platforms were out of view to the left, but have been demolished. |
