English: A Marine with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South turns his weapon into the armory aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) after a successful bi-lateral exchange with Brazilian Naval forces, Aug. 7, 2014. Ashore, the Marines exchanged knowledge on combat tracking, combat lifesaver, explosive ordnance disposal tactics and combat marksmanship. Bi-lateral exchanges with our partners strengthen the relationships that facilitate the cooperation needed in the event of a crisis requiring a multinational effort. SPMAGTF-South is currently embarked aboard America on her maiden transit dubbed, “America Visits the Americas”. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by 1st Lt. Joshua Pena/Released) |
