English: Lance Cpl. Jason Colon, a 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit special intelligence system communicator, crosses his arms and tucks his chin as he jumps into a pool during Marine Combat Water Survival Training at a combat training pool on Camp Johnson, N.C., May 24, 2012. The U.S. Marine Corps and 26th MEU are an amphibious assault force. Therefore all Marines are required to know how to survive in the water. Participants wear all of their combat gear, including a rifle, helmet, flak jacket and assault pack, increasing their confidence in a forward-deployed environment. |
