Description
Français : Marie-Victoire Du Sault (1845-1908), mère d’Oscar et de Marius Dufresne, est à l’origine de la fortune de la famille Dufresne. Fondatrice et propriétaire d’une modeste fabrique de chaussures d’enfants, à Yamachiche, en 1860, cette femme déterminée saura faire croître son entreprise à Montréal sous les noms de Cordonnerie Dufresne, Dufresne et Pellerin et finalement la Dufresne and Locke. Son sens des affaires l’amène à exporter ses chaussures dans les maritimes, aux États-Unis, en Europe, voire même jusqu’en Orient.
