Description
Polski: Maria Vetulani (1898−1944), druga z lewej, wśród grupy żołnierzy. Vetulani pozuje do zdjęcia w polskim mundurze, ma krótko ścięte włosy. W takim stroju walczyła po stronie polskiej w bitwie o Lwów w 1918 roku podając się za mężczyznę − studenta o nazwisku Marian Ipohorski (przyjęła męski odpowiednik imienia Maria oraz nazwisko panieńskie matki).
English: Maria Vetulani (1898−1944), second from the left, among a group of soldiers. In the picture, Vetulani is wearing Polish uniform and has her hair cut short. In such an outfit she fought on the Polish side in the battle for Lviv in 1918, posing as a man − a student named Marian Ipohorski (she adopted the male equivalent of the name Maria and her mother's maiden name).
