Statue of Fortuna Nemesis, the goddess of fate. She holds a whip in her right hand and a sword in her left. The griffon and the wheel with eight spokes are her usual attributes. The statue was found in the military amphitheatre of Carnuntum.

Teile des rechten ober- und Unterarmes fehlen. Beide Attribute und ebenso der Greif zu ihrer Linken sind Symbole der rächenden Vergeltung. Das Schicksalsrad und das Steuerruder zu ihrer Rechten deuten zudem auf die Verwandtschaft der Nemesis mit Fortuna, der Göttin des Glücks und des Zufalls hin. Am Hals und am Hinterkopf ist der Werkstein sichtbar, die Rückseie der Figur wurde roh belassen. Sie stand ursprünglich mit der elliptischen Basis auf einem der Göttin Nemesis geweihten Altar in deren Heiligtum im Militäramphitheater von Carnuntum."
