Summary
[edit]DescriptionMaria1910.jpg |
English: I found this photo at www.geocities.com/zar_de_rusia/alexandra_feodorovna.html. It is an official portrait of Grand Duchess Maria Nikolaevna of Russia, taken in 1910. Portraits of her sisters that were taken in the same year and at the same photo session were uploaded and listed as public domain. These portraits were all published on post cards prior to World War I and were available in multiple countries in Europe and probably also in the United States. It's also available on multiple sites on the Internet. I attempted to e-mail the owner of the Web site where this photo is pictured, but the link to his e-mail is broken. However, I think the image is most likely public domain. If for whatever reason it is not, I don't think the commercial value will be affected because there are better quality images elsewhere and because the image is widely available. If I am mistaken for any reason, please delete the photo. |

This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term. Honduras has a general copyright term of 75 years, but it does implement the rule of the shorter term. Copyright may extend on works created by French who died for France in World War II (more information), Russians who served in the Eastern Front of World War II (known as the Great Patriotic War in Russia) and posthumously rehabilitated victims of Soviet repressions (more information).
