Français : Exposé au Kunsthistorisches Museum (Inv.-Nr 2130). Un an avant sa mort, Velasquez peint ce portrait de l'Infante et celui de son frère cadet Philippe Prosper d'Autriche (Inv.-Nr 319), portraits qui seront ses dernières œuvres achevées. La même année le portrait fut envoyé à Leopold I qui épousa l'Infante en 1666. Le style du peintre atteint son apogée ici avec de larges taches de couleurs vives qui produisent presque un effet impressionniste de sorte que l'observateur doit se tenir à distance pour avoir une vue d'ensemble de l'oeuvre
