Marcy Lutes created the radio request show, 'This is Marcy,' played on WAKE radio from Wakeman General Hospital in 1945.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: "This Is Marcy" radio program, heard on WAKE radio at Wakeman General Hospital, in Camp Atterbury, Indiana, USA. The program had Marcy Lutes play D.J. and 'spin' music requests for recovering American servicemen. It was so popular that when it reached it's 10,000th request, the local paper predicted that the radio show would last for as long as the hospital itself. In fact, the show ran from late 1945, until Marcy left for Indianapolis, and WIBC radio in 1947.
