Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Marble Arch, York. Somehow it doesn't have quite the same appeal as the Marble Arch in London's Hyde Park. This Victorian glazed brick tunnel on Leeman Road passes under the busy railway junction at the northern end of York Station, with a Roman burial ground below the station to the south and the River Ouse to the north. This is one of the main pedestrian and cycle routes to the National Railway Museum.
