| Description |
English: This cave is one of three that were made by man in the colonial era.The cave is located in maraigushu,16Km from naivasha town.Nakuru county in kenya.The cave is located on the lower side of a seasonal River Karati falls.The colonial freedom fighters used to hide in these caves. During the day the cave drips condensed water which nourish birds and bats.The cave also provides shade to birds. At night different animals shelter inside the caves. At one time it was believed that the river had a hidden gold treasure stored by the colonialists, the young people who dug for the treasure would rest inside those caves and some slept there. The cave has a tunnel that collects underground water from deeper ends of it. This water is collected at one point and distributed to locals using pipes. The caves are used by local tourist for relaxing when they come visiting the river.Maraigushu caves are a beautiful scenery and a home for many.
