CARTA GEOGRAFICA la quale rappresenta lo stato della REPUBBLICA DI GENOVA partita nella Riviera di Levante e di Ponente. Data in pubblico per gli eredi di Homann. Nel cartiglio in basso al centro si legge: MAPPA GEOGRAPHICA/ STATUS GENUENSIS/ex subsidiis recentissimis praecipue vero ex majori mappa/ da Chafrion / mediante legitime projicendi methodo/ delineata a Tobia Majero Soc[ietatis] Cosmogr[aphiae] Sodali,/ in lucem proferenti bus/ Homannianis Heredibus / 1749 Incisione su rame colorata a mano, mm. 535 x 635 Scale in miglia di Genova, Milano e di Toscana, in miglia comuni d’Italia e del Piemonte, in miglia antiche romane, in miglia tedesca e in misura di Parigi. In basso a destra la legenda distingue tra feudi imperiali ed ecclesiastici, e tra pertinenze sabaude e del ducato di Milano Tobias Mayer, cui il cartiglio oltre lo Chaffrion si riferisce, era un astronomo entrato a far parte nel 1746 dello stabilimento degli eredi di Homann a Norimberga.
