Français : Waka maori un canot traditionnel à double coque Haunui. Les coques des waka sont également nommées Pikikōtuku (le héron blanc ascendant) pour la coque bâbord femelle. La coque tribord mâle est nommée Wharetoroa (la maison de l'albatros). La houe de direction a reçu le nom de Te Whare Hukahuka Tangata (la maison en mousse du dieu de la mer).
