Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The city of Mainz, Germany sometime in the late 19th century. Visible is the Südbruecke (southern railway bridge) over the Rhine, and parts of the city's port, looking north down the river.
Deutsch: Mainz von Süden gesehen; spätes 19. Jahrhundert.
Date Unknown date. Late 19th century based on railway engine and ship forms, as well as style of art (later postcards used photography) and the fact that the "Winterhafen" (winter port, shown) was constructed in 1865, but the Theodor-Heuss-Bridge from 1885 is still missing.
