Description
English: Manuel Gomes Perneta, from one of the few Presbyterian families remaining in Madeira after the Exile of the Protestants. The Bible he's holding is one of the very few which wasn't destroyed during the Catholic persecutions, and is todat at display in the Presbyterian Church of Funchal (Scots Kirk).
