Summary

[edit]
Description
English: 1235 Mission Street between 8th and 9th Streets in the South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood of San Francisco, California, was built in 1926-28 by the Mangrum and Otter Company, a vendor of architectural tiles, stoves, mantles, fireplaces and kitchen accessories, which was founded in 1887. John King of the San Francisco Chronicle called the building, designed by Bliss and Fairweather, "a polychromatic extravaganza". The building was renovated by WDA for its current occupant, the Human Services Agency of the City and County of San Francisco. (Sources: [1], [2], [3], [4] and [5])
