Português: O mandacaru é um símbolo da Caatinga, do sertão, do sertanejo. Vegetação típica da Caatinga, muito comum em todo Nordeste. Vegetação bastante resistente, fornece frutos vermelhos, com polpa branca, muito bonito e saboroso, que alimenta pessoas que vivem em seu entorno. Este além de importância ecológica, tem importância social e inspirou diversos cantores brasileiros.
English: The mandacaru is a symbol of the Caatinga, the sertão, the sertanejo. Typical vegetation of the Caatinga, very common throughout the Northeast. Vegetation very resistant, provides red fruits, with white pulp, very beautiful and tasty, which feeds people living in its surroundings. This besides ecological importance, has social importance and inspired several Brazilian singers.
Español: El mandacaru es un símbolo de la Caatinga, del sertão, del sertanejo. Vegetación típica de la Caatinga, muy común en todo Nordeste. Vegetación bastante resistente, proporciona frutos rojos, con pulpa blanca, muy bonito y sabroso, que alimenta a las personas que viven en su entorno.
