DescriptionManchester railway station early 1900s.jpg |
English: A train from Whitby pulls into Manchester Station, about one mile south of Manchester Ontario. Passengers and milk cartons await its arrival. Two stops remain on the original Port Whitby and Port Perry Railway, Prince Albert and Port Perry. When this image was taken, circa 1900, the line continued to Lindsay. The photograph is labeled "GTR Station", referring to the fact that the PW&PP had been purchased by the Grand Trunk Railway by this point. |
