| Description |
English: Manchester Metrolink tram 1018 in High Street in May 2000 This area has changed quite a bit in recent years, and sadly the well known firm of Bachers Fabrics closed several years ago. The tram is named Sir Matt Busby, in honour of the long-serving manager of Manchester United Football Club. The tram is from the first batch of vehicles supplied by Firema of Italy, and entered public service in 1992. Since this picture was taken, the vehicle has had its doors painted in a contrasting colour to aid their visibility. |
