Description

I got hold of this photo from a Fiat enthusiast last year but only just got around to scanning it. Manchester Fiat is the dealer where my old 128 was sold in 1978; here is the dealership several years later. 

I'm not sure of the exact year but I'm strongly inclined to say 1983 or maybe 1984 because there are several second generation Hyundai Ponies visible; the first generation quad headlight Pony (red car at extreme right of photo) was still available through all of 1982. Also, the Suzuki Samurai/Jimny models visible by the Suzuki letters weren't available locally until at least 1983 I'm fairly certain.

We can also see plenty of Suzuki ST/Carry vans and Altos, a lone CXG or Whizzkid, an HZ Holden Kingswood ute, early Rover SD1, Ford Laser, Mitsubishi Mirage, Toyota Corolla KE70, Chrysler Avenger, Peugeot 504, Vauxhall Chevette and Datsun 100A, The most interesting vehicles are probably the Fiat 131/Mirafioris, Lancia Beta (being admired by two 80s chaps), a round headlight Fiat Strada/Ritmo, Fiat 127 and also a first generation Honda Prelude!

The scan is a bit lighter than the original photo but it's pretty accurate colour wise.
