English: Afghan mothers wait to receive food for their children at the Supplemental Feeding Program at Farah Hospital in Farah, Afghanistan, May 22. The Supplemental Feeding Program is a weekly government program, financially funded by Provincial Reconstruction Team Farah, designed to feed clinically malnourished children, ages six months to five years, living in Farah province. The food consists of a mixture of powdered milk, vegetable oil, peanuts, and a wide variety of vitamins which is specifically created to provide malnourished children with the proper balance of fats, proteins, and vitamins.
