Description
English: Tropical Storm Maliksi was weakening as it approached Japan in early June 2018. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard NASA’s Aqua satellite acquired a true-color image of the storm. Convective bands stretched out in the northeastern quadrant as the result of strong vertical wind shear. Japan is located to the northwest of Maliksi’s center and under clouds from the system.
