Summary
[edit]DescriptionMaking the money - geograph.org.uk - 1346055.jpg | Blackpool Corporation had a long history of operating 'Circular Tour' trams, often using unusual cars such as the 'Boats'. Pre-war and for a short period up to 1957, these had operated partly along inland routes as well, but by 1960 they just consisted of a run to Little Bispham and back to Starr Gate before returning to central Blackpool. The tours were popular, even though premium fares were charged. They were ideal for 'people-watching'. Car No 231 is well loaded here outside the Palatine. |
