The tip of a plasma cutter can reach temperatures of 25,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Plasma cutters can cut through different metals and thicknesses depending on its rating. The one seen here can cut through an inch of steel. Arbuckle is an aircraft metals technology craftsman assigned to the 374th Maintenance Squadron.
