Maker's mark "Hughes" on gate

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Maker's mark "Hughes" on the gate into "Moore's Bog" which gives access to St Brigid's Well in Toberbreedia. The gate was not made for this field entrance, but brought there by the current landowner, when he tidied up the field. Hughes is likely the Hughes forge on Parliament Street in Kilkenny, according to locals.
