Description
English: Australian Maj. Gen. Chris Field, vice director (CCJ3), U.S. Central Command, addresses attendees at an ANZAC Day a dawn service on the beach at MacDill Air Force Base, April 25. Personnel from U.S. Central Command, U.S. Special Operations Command, and other base commands attended the commemoration service that marks the anniversary of the military campaign on the Gallipoli Peninsula fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I. ANZAC Day also commemorates the lives lost by Australians and New Zealanders during World War II and subsequent military and peacekeeping operations. (Photo by Tom Gagnier)
