Description
English: Tennessee business men to the number of 800 have enrolled for the citizens' military training camp at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Photograph shows Major Bass, in charge of the Chattanooga battalion (left); Robert Bacon, ex-Secretary of State (centre), and W. C. Thompson, ex-Mayor of Chattanooga, in front of Mr. Bacon's tent. The high school pupils of Chattanooga have been receiving military instruction from a regular army sergeant. Military instruction has been added to the curriculum of the Tennessee Industrial School. Nashville High School pupils are receiving military instruction.
