Summary

English: Maize Cobs The footpath passed right through the centre of the maize field. These cobs are not good for human consumption as they are grown for cattle feed and are not very tasty. The badgers love to eat them and pull the whole plant down when thieving. In October the whole plant will be harvested and shredded - including the cobs - and put into the silage clamp for winter feed. |
