English: Niche stalactite in the house of a Jewish Samaritan in Damascus at the XVIth century ; it had no religious function. Samaritan inscriptions can be seen in the brown angles and the central medallions. Niche à stalactites du XVIe siècle dans une maison de Damas, sans fonction religieuse. On en trouvait dans les demeures de musulmans, de juifs et de chrétiens. Le propriétaire de cette maison était un juif samaritain comme l'attestent les inscriptions samaritaines dans les angles supérieurs bruns et les médaillons centraux. |
