Français : Autres titres : 1507, avenue du Docteur-Penfield, Montréal. Description : Il s'agit de l'une des dernières maisons à être érigée dans le Mille carré doré. Sa construction a été entreprise au moment où le krash économique s'abattait sur l'Amérique. Les plans sont réalisés dans le style Beaux-Arts, genre Renouveau classique français. Leur client étant francophone, il souhaitait que la demeure soit représentative de l'architecture française. Les architectes, étant anglophones, n'ont pas eu la tâche facile, ils ont dû soumettre 286 dessins avant qu'un plan final soit accepté. (Source : François Rémillard, Brian Merrett.
