Français : Autres titres : Maison Félix-Gabriel-Marchand;126, rue Saint-Charles, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Description : La résidence sise au 126, rue Saint-Charles aurait été bâtie en 1869 pour le notaire Félix-Gabriel Marchand qui deviendra premier ministre de la province par la suite. Le volume carré et la toiture brisée rattachent cette demeure au style Second Empire. Ce style s'inspire des édifices publics construits en France sous le règne de Napoléon III, et il connaît une certaine vogue aux Etats-Unis et au Canada. En Amérique, il est aussi connu sous le nom de French Cottage ou French Mansard. La maison se compose d'un corps de logis de plan carré à deux étages, d'une toiture mansardée à quatre eaux, de lucarnes à fronton arrondi, d'un porche ainsi que d'une galerie.
