Français : Autres titres : Maison R.B. McGinnis;Orphelinat Sainte-Thérèse;170, rue Longueuil, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Description : La résidence sise au 170-172, rue Longueuil aurait été construite vers 1857 pour R. B. McGinnis. La propriété est vendue à plusieurs reprises avant d'être acquise par les Petites Sœurs Franciscaines de Marie en 1926 pour y établir l'orphelinat Sainte-Thérèse. En 1965, le diocèse de Saint-Jean se porte acquéreur du bâtiment. Le carré de dimensions importantes, l'ordonnance des ouvertures et la symétrie de la façade rattachent cette résidence au courant néoclassique et rappellent les maisons de style georgien de nos voisins du sud. La propriété se compose d'un corps de logis de plan carré à deux étages, d'une toiture en pavillon au sommet tronqué, de deux oriels disposés en façade ainsi que d'un porche surmonté d'un balcon.
