Description Crewmen work on a Pratt & Whitney R-2800-48 radial engine of a U.S. Navy North American AJ-2 Savage (BuNo 134049) form Heavy Attack Squadron 16 (VAH-16) Det.J "White Blades" abaord the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge (CVA-33). VAH-16 Det.J was assigned to Air Task Group 3 (ATG-3) aboard the Kearsarge for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 9 August 1957 to 2 April 1958.
