This morning we bring a particularly bright view of the Main Street in Naas, Co. Kildare! I doubt that any one of us has ever seen this street so clear of traffic:-) Continuing our promotion of the Parish Registers here is a link to the register for Naas! So much talk about traffic ot the lack of it in Naas, I have spent mant hours there in the past. Now with the M7 you pass by without even noticing, this photograph shows what a very nice town Naas actually is. It was the traffic which made me dislike it! [/photos/129555378@N07/ sharon.corbet] Using the Census and the Parish Registers picked up an 1871 Baptism in the Degnan family, "Emily Cooper and John Degnan had a daughter Emily Mary Anne in 1871. By 1901 she's married to an Albert Carleton and has two children Emily A. and Ellen P. (Who I presume are the Alberta and Patricia Carleton living with their grandparents in 1911. (The registery is pretty illegible, I admit, but I found a transcription elsewhere.)"
