Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Here the main areas on that PCB are identified.

The instrument is powered by a 12V battery which feeds the POWER CONVERTER. This produces LT SUPPLIES (+12V and +5V) to power the instrument and the HT SUPPLIES for the CRT.

Timing starts with a 1MHz CLOCK which feeds the TIMING LOGIC. This produces 3 signals : to put a pulse on the line under test via the PULSE GENERATOR circuit; to trigger the horizontal TIMEBASE to sweep the electron beam across the CRT screen and to display the cursor.

The reflected signal from the line is fed to the Y AMPLIFIER and displayed on the CRT.
