Description The somewhat relentless horizontality of the upper storeys was almost entirely for aesthetic value, rather than for shading. This emphasis successfully masks the sheer mass, and height, of the building - all eight storeys! An interesting fact that I didn't know until very recently is that the footprint of the building is almost exactly one acre. It's big, in other words. And very lovely with it, too.
