| Description |
English: Maiden Newton old school This school closed in the late 1970s when a new Primary School was erected in Chilfrome Lane in Frome Vauchurch. When completed, the old school building was sold and is now a private house. (Thanks to Brian Tompkins for this information).
The clock has either stopped or is two hours fast. The village is characterised by buildings like this; solid red stone for lintels and door or window frames, infilled by a poor quality grey stone with lots of pointing. |
