Description
English: Maharaja Hari Singh's erected architectural masterpiece which is known as palace (Commonly known Maharaja’s Palace) located at world's Famous Tourist destination spot Gulmarg. Every year thousands of people visit this Palace & get impressed by its splendid look and edifice. In 20th Century The Palace had been built over an area on 8700 sq ft by Maharaja and it is a single story building. The building is highly decorated by wooden structure and the exterior design of Palace is wonderful with turrets, grand entrance portico and no of windows are fitted with glasses. The exteriors of the building is reminiscent of European Architecture. Maharaja Palace was once the royal palace of King Ranbir Singh of Kashmir. The Palace comprises 15 Rooms and a central hall banquet of varying dimensions highly crafted with paneled walls. The skills of the artisans of that period is applause and are forced to think about it. Some bedrooms with little furniture of that period was found intact and some bedrooms have fireplaces to keep rooms warm especially in harsh winter's.in One the Room there is Arms and Ammunition of that period used by Maharaja but are locked for view of public. Another side the palace has horse stable on underground with olden wooden beams and timber ceiling. Overall interior of the Palace is looking astonishing. In one the picture both Maharaja and Mahrani Shrimati Taradevi is visible in one frame and very few people are about this name.
