Description
English: Mahamaya Baglamukhi Temple located in Ward No. 11 Kapan of Budhanilkantha Municipality of Kathmandu District. It is located in a beautiful place in the upper part of Kapan. From here, the view of the valley can be seen very beautifully. There is a temple of Goddess Mahamaya built from ancient artistic materials in the style of Mallakalin pagoda. The 32 feet high temple has five brass gajur. Inside this temple there are 5 goddesses Balagalamukhi, Siddhi Ganesh, Shanta Surya, Jagannath, Vishnu, Tapeshwar Mahadev, Bhairav etc. The back and right side of the temple is adorned with idols of many gods and goddesses. In addition to this, there are rooms for Dharamshala, Bhajan Room, Music Room, Discourse Room as well as Room for Wedding, Bratvandha, Yajna. This Mahamaya Baglamukhi temple attracts a large crowd of devotees during various Nepali festivals.
