Cymraeg: Ffermdy traddodiadol yw Maesygarnedd (neu weithiau, Maes-y-garnedd), sef man geni John Jones yn 1597, un o'r gwŷr a arwyddodd warant marwolaeth Siarl I, brenin Lloegr a brawd-yng-nghyfraith Oliver Cromwell, Arglwydd Amddiffynnwr Lloegr. Saif ym mhen pellaf Cwmnantcol, Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri, gyda'r Foel Wen (414m) i'r gogledd-orllewin, y Foel Ddu (477m) i'r gogledd, y Rhiniogydd (720m) i'r dwyrain a mynydd Moelfre (589m) i'r de-orllewin. Cyfeirnod Grid yr OS: SH6420026920.
English: Maesygarnedd is a traditional farmhouse, the birthplace of John Jones in 1597, who signed the death warrant of Charles I, king of England and brother-in-law of Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector of England.

It lies within Eryri National Park, at the far end of Cwmnantcol, with the Foel Wen (414m) to the north-west, the Foel Ddu (477m) to the north, the Rhineland (720m) to the east and the Moelfre mountain (589m) to the south-west. OS Grid Reference: SH6420026920.
