| Description |
English: Former Maentwrog Road station, 2001. View east from the A470 road, to the former station entrance, now a private house. The line behind had been the ex-GWR Bala (to right) - Blaenau Ffestiniog (to left), closed 4/1/60 to passengers, 28/1/61 to freight. However this section, from Trawsfynydd to Blaenau Ffestiniog Central and through a new tunnel to the North station, was reopened for access to Trawsfynydd Nuclear Power Station in April 1964 and remained until 1995 (and mothballed), after the Power Station was closed in 1991. |
