Description
Español: La calle de Esparteros es una vía urbana del barrio de Sol en el distrito Centro de Madrid. Corre, en sentido norte-sur, desde la calle Mayor, junto a la puerta del Sol, hasta la plaza de Santa Cruz. Debe su nombre al antiguo gremio de artesanos del esparto. (Texto de Wikipedia). Al fondo de la foto se ve la Sede del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y de Cooperación (MAEC) (antiguo palacio de santa Cruz).
English: Street of Esparteros is an urban street of the district of Sun in the district Center of Madrid. It runs, in a north-south direction, from the Calle Mayor, next to the Puerta del Sol, to the Plaza de Santa Cruz. It owes its name to the old guild of esparto craftsmen. (Wikipedia text). At the bottom of the photo you can see the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAEC) (former palace of Santa Cruz).
