| Description | The village of Ribeiro Frio Cold Stream} is situated in the interior of the island of Madeira. It belongs to the parish of São Roque do Faial, the municipality of Santana, and is located around 15 Kms from Funchal. On the Cold Stream the state forestry organization has set up a trout farm and created a small botanical garden around the fish ponds which are fed by the clear pure water of the stream. A tourism area with shops and a restaurant has been developed close to the trout farm which brings thousands of visitors to Ribeiro Frio. |
