Description

Shots taken as we walked down Marylebone Road, from Regent's Park (after leaving London Zoo), heading back to Marylebone Station to go home.

Was walking past Madame Tussaud's, so quickly took these shots of it. I have never been there before, so this was the first time I walked past it.

Would have prefered to get it from the other side of the road, to get a full shot of the building, but had no time for that (we were heading back to the station, to get the train home).

London Planetarium

The museum has been on this site since 1884.

The dome was the London Planetarium. It opened in 1958. It closed in 2006 and is now part of Madame Tussaud's, and houses a "Star Dome" show. Early in 2006, before it closed, it was renamed Auditorium.

From 2010 forward, the building that once housed the London Planetarium houses the Marvel Superheroes 4D attraction.

On the wall is a plaque of Madame Tussaud.

There is a sign with a walking route to London Zoo. We had walked from London Zoo, but not from that way. We went through Regent's Park and exited onto York Gate onto Marylebone Road.
